1. General

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of plumbing services by Melbourne Prestige Plumbing ("we", "us", "our") to you ("the client"). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Quotes and Estimates

All quotes provided are estimates based on the information available at the time of assessment. If unforeseen issues arise during the work (for example, rusted pipes or structural obstructions), we reserve the right to amend the quote. We will notify you of any additional costs before proceeding.

3. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of the works unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • For larger projects, we may require a deposit prior to the commencement of work.
  • We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card, and EFTPOS.
  • Late payments may incur interest charges at a rate of 5% per annum or the maximum rate permitted by law, whichever is lower.

4. Warranty and Liability

  • We provide a warranty on our workmanship for 12 months from the date of completion, unless otherwise specified in writing.
  • This warranty does not cover existing plumbing fixtures supplied by the client, damage caused by misuse, neglect, fair wear and tear, or work performed by third-party contractors.
  • Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law and any other applicable legislation.

5. Access and Site Safety

  • You must ensure that our technicians have safe and reasonable access to the site at the agreed time.
  • If the site is deemed unsafe, we reserve the right to refuse service until the environment is made safe to our reasonable satisfaction.

6. Cancellations

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee to cover any reasonable costs incurred by us in preparation for the scheduled works.
